The AGM January 26th 2009 at the Cowick Barton with a great speaker from the Dartmoor National Park - all events lots of fun

Why is the Devon Support Group of the RBST here?

Our objective is to educate the people of Devon about rare breeds, why they are useful and what they can do to help the breeds.

To that end the group holds many activities during the year. Some are social gatherings, visit to members holdings, to other venues and to the county and other shows. At the shows we have a stand where visitors can meet members and get to know some of the rare breed animals that we have brought along to meet children of all ages. Often members show their animals formally in the show ring, further helping create awareness

• Peter had found out about a tour round Riverford Organics. It was decided to try to book the 19th July from 11.00am to 1.00pm and go for lunch at a local pub.
• The “Round Robin” boat/train/bus trip from Totnes: it will cost £15.25 for adults, £14.25 for OAPs, £10.50 for children. Pip will organize for us to catch the 10.00am boat from Totnes and then we will have time for lunch in Dartmouth.
• we might consider a visit to the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston.
