In 2006 we sold everything and moved down to Devon for a complete change of lifestyle. We plan to build up a small mixed farm along traditional lines with rare and old breeds.

So far we have a small flock of 30 Greyface Dartmoor sheep including 6 lambs born this spring. We chose this breed for their local connections, hardiness and docility as well as their attractive looks. They mature quite a bit slower than more commercial breeds but we have found both the lamb and mutton to have fantastic taste and we plan to market the meat locally. We also have Gloucestershire Old Spots pigs kept outdoors and fed organically. We keep various traditional breeds of chicken and geese and are planning to add Dorkings and Cornish/Indian Games to the flock this year.
