Where the Devon Group will have stands and show animals

At the Devon County three day event we man a large tent each year with posters about the rare breeds, hold competitions about rare breeds, show some animals, sell merchandise from RBST and from its members, and spend a lot of time educating and encouraging the general public - especially children. Outside the RBST tent we normally have a large rare animal. Members also tend to show a large variety of rare breed sheep, cattle and other animals.

Kingsbridge Show 6th September
As several of the committee live near this show, we show animals in the RBST tent and on the show ground. In addition to all the things we have at the Devon County - the most visual impression is of Peter's lovely large collection of ducks and geese in a man made pond in the corner of the marquee
Social Events during 2008
On top of various shows, we are hoping to have some social events during the year - they are always a lot of fun. Do come along. Ring Liffy 01548 560342
- Peter had found out about a tour round Riverford Organics. It was decided to try to book the 19th July from 11.00am to 1.00pm and go for lunch at a local pub.
- The “Round Robin” boat/train/bus trip from Totnes: it will cost £15.25 for adults, £14.25 for OAPs, £10.50 for children. Pip will organize for us to catch the 10.00am boat from Totnes and then we will have time for lunch in Dartmouth.
- We might consider a visit to the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston.
- During the Autumn and Winter we normally have beer and skittles, quiz nights, a Christmas Party and / or similar events
