Our Tent / Stand
The Devon County show this year was a real success. The weather was great and the crowds came in numbers, with lots coming to our stand. We would like to thank the Dartington branch of Cornwall Farmers, and Exeter Livestock Centre for their kind sponsor ship towards the cost of the tent. We had a bigger one this year, which was fantastic .

We did well
People, young and old, came to the stand and discussed their interests, signed up, told us what they were looking for, or just bought some of our great stuff on sale. We were delighted to sell a lot of the merchandise. This money goes to the RBST HQ for the many worthy causes e.g. collecting semen of rare breeds, DNA sampling, or lobbying parliament on some important issue
We also ran a popular daily 'guess the weight' competition The animal is different each day. This year included a whopping great pig and a feisty turkey.

The money for this is used to pay for the marquee at the 2008 County Show. Lucky winners got 25% of the cash taken on the day!!
Rare breed entries
There were good number of animals entered in the various rare breed categories. Here we see a few from the primitive rare breed sheep section
