Kingsbridge Show 2006

Or the survival of the fittest

It was an absolutely awful day. It rained hard until 11:30, then we had drizzle until about 3:30, then it rained again. Before 11:30 there was hardly any member of the public there - just stand and show people. Then we all got a rush of people, who really enjoyed themselves, then they went away much earlier than normal. Our stand was full in this middle period, and we made a lot of contacts and sold lots, and made some useful money on the 'guess the weight' contest - which people loved - it was a goose owned by Peter's. Next year the committee have agreed to have an 'any other native breed sheep' so we can enter some rare breeds - please enter if you have any

The 'Guess the weight' goose A pig !!!
Our stand
Shetlands and Wensleydales from Mark and Liffy Manx from Richard and Barbara - notice the young lambs. Oops.
Southdowns from Mr and Mrs Tregear Hebrideans from Richard and Barbara
Some very young ducks - from Peter Peter's wonderful show - a lorry load of poultry each year in a man made pond

Another stand - just to show you the rain!!

We had lovely pictures of Peter and others showing children the animals and poultry, but we are not allowed to show them without written permission of the parents. What a world!
